Description

Yale Center for Teaching and Learning cordially invites you to the 2015 Spring Teaching Forum and Innovation Fair.

Technology offers a variety of tools for enhancing teaching–we can diversify learning materials, expand teaching beyond the classroom, and put the means to produce knowledge in our students’ hands.  Technology-enhanced teaching only succeeds, if we understand its impact on our learning goals.  In this year’s teaching forum, we will explore the two-way interaction between technology and teaching: How do learning goals shape the use of technology in the classroom? How do these new tools shape learning goals, for good or ill?

The forum will bring together members of the teaching community — faculty, students, and administrators — to assess the benefits and challenges posed by technology and to provide concrete strategies for integrating technology into teaching.

  • How does the use of technology help us to rethink our teaching?
  • How can technology lead to genuine innovations in teaching?
  • How do instructors integrate technology in a balanced way?
  • How is academic integrity preserved in the classroom without walls?
