FLY Volunteers at New Haven Tree Lighting

December 18, 2015

On December 1, 2015, the City of New Haven hosted the Annual Tree Lighting on the Historic New Haven Green. FLY members volunteered their time to help City and Yale staff welcome New Haven residents and visitors to the event. The event was broadcast live on NBC Connecticut for the first time and had an array of activities for families to enjoy including a Ferris wheel, petting zoo, horse drawn carriage rides, visits from Santa and the cast of Frozen, and numerous holiday performances by local school children and professional groups. Some of the fun has returned each Saturday in December including the Horse Drawn Carriage Rides, Ferris wheel, and Petting Zoo from 12pm – 4pm. Thank you to FLY members for volunteering their time and talent to help the City have a successful tree lighting.
