Register for the 2016 Young Professionals Symposium

October 25, 2016

How do you get the job without the experience, or the experience without the job?

The 2nd annual Young Professionals Symposium (YPS), taking place on Saturday, November 12, at Yale, will focus on the experience paradox–specifically how to develop oneself personally and professionally in innovative ways. The dynamic lineup includes a panel of young professional leaders, breakout sessions on in-demand topics (mentorship, leadership, and more), and a keynote by Marc Brackett, director for Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence.

The symposium will run from 12pm to 7pm at William L. Harkness (WLH) HallAdmission is free. Attendees will have several networking opportunities throughout the day, including a pizza lunch and a happy hour at Elm City Social. For a full schedule and registration, please see the YPS website

Established in response to Connecticut’s decreased employee retention, the mission of YPS is to engage young professionals with the community, empower them with leadership skills, and foster connections to build a stronger network of rising professionals in the state.

“Harnessing the collective energy of young professionals from across the Nutmeg State for the symposium will surely yield a wonderful outcome for all participants. I expect to learn a lot from my peers and the panelists and speakers that will take part in the event,” said Patrick O’Brien, one of the event organizers. “I encourage young professionals from around the region to join us for this opportunity.”

YPS is co-hosted by Future Leaders of Yale (FLY) and Connecticut Young Professionals (CTYP)
