Breaking Bread Together Celebrates Staff Diversity at Yale

Steering committee members represent FLY at Breaking Bread Together
June 21, 2016

On June 9, Yale’s affinity groups celebrated the 2nd annual Breaking Bread Together, a lunchtime networking event co-hosted by Genetics & Therapeutic Radiology. Staff from across campus and representing all job families filled School of Medicine’s Harkness Lounge. Each affinity group shared a food that represents their culture, and from salsa to sushi, attendees enjoyed a sampling of international cuisine.

Members of FLY’s steering committee spoke with prospective members and shared our favorite healthy on-the-go snack, Greek yogurt with granola. The event was a great networking opportunity that highlighted the work and importance of each affinity group. FLY looks forward to participating again next year and, in the meantime, to continue celebrating staff diversity at Yale.

Yale’s affinity groups are Asian Network at Yale, Yale African American Affinity Group, Future Leaders of Yale, Yale Latino Networking Group, LGBTQ, Yale Veterans Network, Working Women’s Network, and the newly launched Diversability at Yale.
