Description

The ability to communicate effectively is a key skill for all staff. We spend 75% of our waking hours communicating our knowledge, thoughts, and ideas to others. How do you ensure that your message will be understood in the way you intended it to be understood? This course will introduce you to a process that can help. The focus will be on sending clear, direct communication—to say what you mean and mean what you say. 

The course includes experiential activities that will allow you to practice concepts learned. It is a highly interactive workshop. 

Objectives: 

  • Understand a simple communication model and the roles in communicating effectively
  • Learn a six step process for effective communication
  • Explore various communication styles 
  • Practice communicating in a clear, confident, and successful manner
