Safiya Umoja Noble, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Studies at UCLA, will discuss her new edited book, The Intersectional Internet: Race, Sex, Class and Culture Online, and her research on the politics of race, gender, and exploitation embedded in, and on, the Internet and its many platforms, devices, interfaces, and representations.

The lecture will take place from 3:30 – 4:30 pm. 

The reception will take place from 4:30 – 5:00 pm.
