Description

In this class you will learn how to prepare for and conduct a career conversation with your manager so that you can maximize your skills, interests, and values throughout your career at the University. This session is focused on growing at Yale by exploring opportunities for development both in your current role and through other roles that align with your short- and long- term career goals. Ultimately, you own your career, and your manager is there to support you on that journey at Yale.

This class contains a pre-work manual which includes activities and reflection journals that must be completed prior to coming to class. Pre-work will be sent to you two weeks in advance. Given the amount of in-class time, it is very important that you complete all of the activities and bring this manual with you to class. You should allow up to two hours for all the required pre-work to be completed. It is strongly recommended that you inform your manager that you have taken this course and will be sharing with them what you have learned during the class. This will lead to a more effective and productive conversation.

This class is geared towards professionals at Yale University.
