Mental Health

May 9  – Yale’s Counseling and Support Services is offering a webinar, Mental Health Awareness: What You Need to Know, from 2-3 p.m. The webinar will provide information that includes how to help yourself or others with mental health issues and what resources are available to all Yale employees through Yale’s Counseling and Support program.

May 11 – The Power of ‘No’, noon-1 p.m. 55 Lock St., Conference Room 1A/B

Personal Safety

Anyone at Yale can download the Bulldog Mobile (LiveSafe) App on most smartphones. This app gives students, staff, and faculty on campus an effective way to communicate with Yale Police Department (YPD) via a mobile device. Additional information about the app and numerous campus safety services can be found on the Campus Safety website.

Alternative Forms of Commuting

Have you ever considered switching to a new type of commute? Attend this interactive webinar on May 15 from 12:15-1 p.m. to explore your options, including walking, biking, carpooling, and taking the bus or train as well as the benefits available to you as a Yale employee for having a sustainable commute. Learn about programs such as pre-tax savings on transit passes, free monthly parking stays for transit riders and carpoolers, and the guaranteed ride home program.

Parents and Soon-to-be Parents

May 16 – Parents of Preschool Children, Noon-1 p.m., The Anlyan Center, 300 Cedar Street, Room N211

Great news! The Phyllis Bodel Childcare Center at Yale School of Medicine is accepting applications for their full day, full year kindergarten program. The kindergarten is Nationally Accredited by NAEYC and follows the Medical School Calendar.
