FLY Peers Share Their Experiences Managing a Work-Life Balance

March 11, 2015

On Tuesday, February 24, FLY hosted its second Peer Lunch. This lunch focused on Work/Life Balance, and featured two dynamic speakers:  Shana Schneider, Director of Communications in Yale’s Office of International Affairs and Dr. Bethany Zemba, Chief of Staff and Assistant Dean at the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies. Attendees were treated to an intimate look at the struggles and successes Bethany and Shana have faced as they have balanced their successful professional lives at Yale and busy personal lives. Focusing on topics such as pursuing additional education, raising a family, maintaining fitness and running a business outside of Yale, the speakers gave tangible insights as to what has helped them stay focused and happy while achieving great career mobility at the University.
