Around 18 employees and graduate students from Yale attended FLY’s “Speed Networking” event on July 26 to meet new people and practice networking skills. Bonibelle Candelario from the Office of Organizational Effectiveness and Staff Development was a feature speaker that inspired many employees to learn how to network and grow in their careers.
Ms. Candelario shared different tips for networking well, such as practicing good posture, breaking into a group conversation, and others. Participants had the opportunity to introduce themselves to each other during a speed dating-style activity, and received feedback from each other to improve their performance.
