Have an idea for a FLY event?

April 25, 2016

Bring it to our next steering committee meeting on Tuesday, June 14! The committee meets on the second Thursday of the month during lunchtime. Meetings are open to the Yale community. If you want to get involved with FLY but don’t know how, this is a great opportunity to see what we’re all about. Please RSVP in advance to audrey.rogers@yale.edu

One area where we seek volunteers is for leads on Peer to Peer luncheons. Here’s your chance to take the reins and make your idea a reality.

Peer to Peer luncheons are a great opportunity to connect with Yale colleagues old and new. Generally running from 12-1pm, they feature a panel of 4-5 young professionals who speak on a topic then the conversation opens up to Q&A. Lunch is provided.

From balancing children and work to being new at Yale, these luncheons have covered great topics. We’d love to continue the series with your input. Maybe you want to learn about balancing work and school or what’s happening at West Campus. We’d love to learn about these topics, too!

Peer to Peer luncheons are simple to organize–we provide a template–and can be a one-time deal. No long term commitment necessary. Plus, it’s a great networking opportunity and more leadership experience to add to your growing resume.

If you have an idea but don’t want to run an event, that’s just as well. We’d love to hear your thoughts. As always, you’re welcome to email fly@yale.edu with questions or suggestions. We look forward to hearing from you.
