The Queen Bees will represent FLY at the 5th Annual New Haven Reads Spelling Bee on October 21 at the Yale School of Management auditorium. Cheer on your friends and colleagues while raising funds for New Haven’s community book bank!
The event has become quite the place to “bee” - creative team names, hilarious costumes, available refreshments, and hilarious emcees make the event as fun as it is rewarding.
New Haven Reads, founded to “share the joy and power of reading,” increases the literacy skills of children to empower their academic success by providing individually tailored one-on-one after-school tutoring, educational family support, and a community book bank, all at no cost to participants.
Admission is free with a suggested donation of $10 to support NHR’s literacy programs.
