Description

This hands-on workshop is intended for staff and professionals actively working on presentations to be delivered to audiences externally or internally at Yale. Bring your presentation outline, slides, or ideas with you to fine tune into an effective presentation. Whether you are speaking at a conference or meeting on campus, being well-prepared, confident, persuasive, and succinct will reinforce your status as an expert and boost the reputation of your team and the university.

You will learn tips for setting an outcome, getting organized, building an effective slide deck, and making sure your audience leaves your presentation knowing the crucial points. We will also discuss overcoming fears, dealing with worst-case scenarios, and avoiding the hidden pitfalls of presentation software.

Join Christine Costantino (President, Toastmasters at Yale), Mela Toro-Waters (Vice President of Education & Membership, Yale Toastmasters), Mary-Kay Kaminski (Yale Toastmasters Officer), and Roger Ngim (Associate Director, Communications & Outreach, OCIO, and Toastmasters member) for this fun, informative, and interactive event.
