Description

Feedback often gets a bad reputation. A 2016 survey of over two thousand adults showed that nearly 40% of managers are uncomfortable giving critical feedback to employees; about half of those are uncomfortable giving positive feedback (Lou Solomon, HBR). And yet, when feedback is delivered well and with good intentions, it can inspire, engage, and even transform individuals and teams to higher performance, especially our young professionals. Join Allison Holzer for an experiential session to build your confidence giving positive and constructive feedback. This session will teach you a simple feedback process rooted in research-based methods from the Center for Creative Leadership. Participants will have opportunities to practice using the process to deliver feedback that motivates, walking away from the session with a practical tool and communication approach. This session will be helpful to anyone who manages (up or down), mentors, or collaborates on teams.
