Mental health challenges among young people have greatly increased in prevalence and severity since the COVID-19 pandemic. This talk will provide information about this trend and what parents can do about it, including specific strategies for helping children and teens struggling with anxiety and related emotional difficulties.

Dr. Rebecca Etkin is a licensed clinical psychologist and postdoctoral associate at the Yale Child Study Center Anxiety and Mood Disorders Program, where she studies and treats anxiety disorders and related difficulties in children and adolescents. Dr. Etkin received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Johns Hopkins University and her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from SUNY Buffalo.
