OISS: Community Connections Information Session

Join the Office of International Students and Scholars for an information session about different volunteer opportunities with Yale’s international community! OISS is looking for members of the Yale community who are friendly, curious, and empathetic to the needs of new international students, scholars, and families, and are interested in the prospect of cross-cultural exchange right here in the heart of New Haven.   OISS is relaunching the Community Connections program which includes four volunteer opportunities:

• Thanksgiving/Holiday Hosts - sign-up to host a few international students/scholars for Thanksgiving dinner at your home
• First Year Friends - OISS matches you with a first year undergraduate student for a year of mentorship & socializing
• Conversation Partners - OISS pairs you with one or two students/scholars looking to improve their English
• English Conversation Facilitators - lead a once a week English Conversation Group at OISS for a group of 10-20 people
